Is gun control using 2 hands?

Armed people are free. No state can control those who have the machinery and the will to resist, no mob can take their liberty and property. And no 220-pound thug can threaten the well-being or dignity of a 110-pound woman who has two pounds of iron to even things out 鈥?People who object to weapons aren't abolishing violence, they're begging for rule by brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically ';right.'; Guns ended that, and a social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work. 鈥?L. Neil Smith (from The Probability Broach)Is gun control using 2 hands?
Amen. brother. Keep 'em in the X-ring.Is gun control using 2 hands?
That is correct. The more guns in private hands, the safer we all are.

People who advocate civilian disarmament (gun control), don't seem to realize who would be controlling the guns. Most people know that the majority of politicians are criminals. Why would any sane American want to turn their guns over to criminals?

If you look at history, you will see what the outcome of gun contro is: Nazi Germany is the first country that comes to mind. Hitler was a staunch advocate of gun control. All dictators are. Wide spread civilian ownership of firearms is a sign of freedom.
If you're taking a poll, I believe we should all be able to possess fireams and know how to use them.

I have heard it said that God didn't make all men equal, it was Smith and Wesson. Well, I believe God created Smith and Wesson to keep all men equal.
The armed are as unfree as they come. Those who arm themselves are those who fear death and losing the material posessions they love. Love only that which is not of this world, and you shall be free of fears.
OK WHERE IS THE QUESTION AT ???????????
I like guns, but I don't know what the F**k you are trying to say.
HELL YES!!!!
That's right. But it also takes a steady hand and the judgment to place your shots where they work the fastest to stop the assault.

Between the eyes or up through the chin work quite well.

Smith is fairly right on.

And by the way, It was Samuel Colt that made men equal.
I wish you were right!

I am a gun owner myself.

One thing I hope you are aware of though is you are NOT a property owner. You and all of us are property leasers.

Try not paying your taxes. Now....I think the legislation was passed in 2005....new Eminent Domain laws have made it possible for land developers to repossess privately owned land and property under the guise of ';improving the community'; or ';property updating';.

Check it out for yourself. It's disgusting!

Small claim and civil court suits are popping up all over the country.
Just remember this much: it is still a crime to shoot a law enforcement official because you disagree with the law that they are enforcing.
Take all of the guns you always have baseball bats, knives, and other equalizers everywhere. So the answer to take all guns is just another move to lose another freedom. The thing that most are yelling about Bush, losing freedoms.
NO...it's using one and common sense
Yep! Gun control is using both hands and a steady arm.

Didn't Hitler disarm the Germans?
In an article entitled ';'Trend Crimes' and the Gun Dealer,';聽self-defense expert and former police officer, Massad Ayoob talks about fear:聽

';Customers come to you every day out of fear. Fear of what they read in the newspaper. Fear of what they watch on the 11 o'clock news. Fear of the terrible acts of violence they see on the street. Your job, in no uncertain terms, is to sell them confidence in the form of steel and lead.';

Talking about the adrenaline rush and loss of fine motor skills brought about by fear, Ayoob says:

';In short, the use of fine motor skills for tasks like firing handguns are not part of the body's survival design. Our bodies have not yet adapted to the possibility that fighting may involve a delicate trigger squeeze.聽 Loss of fine motor control also means that reloading, also a high-dexterity skill, especially in revolvers, becomes much more difficult.

Experts advise that it is possible to compensate for the loss of dexterity by diligent and proper training.

'However,' writes expert Duane Thomas, 'the sad truth is that very few people who carry a gun on a daily basis, in either the police or civilian sectors, have committed themselves to that level of training.';

From the Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition:

';The firearms business has a unique stake in reinforcing women's feelings of insecurity: fear sells guns. The gun lobby focuses on the threat of attack by a stranger to promote handguns as self-defense weapons for women. However, having a gun around for any reason increases the risk that a family member鈥攁s opposed to a criminal鈥攚ill be killed. For women, having a gun in a domestic violence situation is like adding fuel to a fire.';

I say, buy as big a piece as you need to feel warm and safe, but also, use some common sense in WHERE you go and WHEN, if you catch my drift.

A perp contemplating a robbery or violent crime is going to use the element of surprise/ambush. He's not likely to walk up to you and start a conversation. He's contemplated doing the crime, he's possibly armed, his adrenaline is flowing. It's not like you're going to get a fair chance to draw, aim, and fire.

More handguns have been taken AWAY from people in situations like this. Now, there's another stolen handgun on the street.

Don't go jogging down poorly lit, secluded trails.

Stick to more populated areas for night entertainment.

And one last piece of trivia:

Chances of a person being murdered - 18,000 to 1

Chances of getting colo-rectal cancer - 1 in 26
No.Gun control is the ability to put at least two bullets in the same predator... uh I mean target.
